This is One hundred percent up to you.
If you have holiday plans then do them so you cannot stress over buying a home.
When you get too overwhelmed with looking at house after house and submitting offer after offer it is then time to get away and take a break. Go on your trip. Do not even look at your notifications let your real estate agent know if something absolutely perfect happens to hit the market to call you but otherwise leave you alone until you are back in town.
If you are going to be in town for the holiday either way then sure go look at a house if you feel like it but again do not stress over it if it feels right do it if it feels like working on a holiday do not do look.
Keep it simple if you can. Everything else can be more complicated in a real estate transaction but when and what homes you look at it all your choice and around your schedule.
I will let you know that typically not as few homes go active on holiday weekends and if they do they want more time to get back with you for rejecting or accepting an offer because the odds are they are celebrating the holiday as well and are not too concerned with your offer at the moment.
Friendly reminder that you will find the right home, in the right place, to meet your current needs.
Wish i could tell you when and the perfect offer to write but keep at it.
